Hi Maureen, You say you can't see how to add an attachment. I believe it should work like this, when you post a message or reply the second row (below the subject box) says attachment, Click on browse and navigate to the file you want to use on your computer. Click on open the file. The thing that can catch you out is that if you choose to preview your message the attachment is automatically removed. Therefore I suggest you write your message, preview until happy and then add the attachment last before posting. One other thing I've noticed is that if you choose 'quote' as your reply option it seems to prevent attachments uploading. Finally, don't forget that the maximum attachment file size is 1mb. Cheers, David.

Carl can't see any either Whoops, sincere apologies Maureen, I've just found out about a setting on the control panel which I needed to change to allow members to post files. Follow my previous instructions and all should be well now. Remember I'm a beginner at this too! David

I've had a look around at other forums and for free ones at least this seems to be the norm and many don't allow attachments at all. I think what I'll do is post a new thread for new users giving advice on how to post etc. Questions about using the forum can be posted there. Thanks for taking the time to try this out. When we get more interesting topics I'd hope there'll be more uptake and I haven't advised all group members about it yet either as I wanted to see how we got on. Regards, David

sory david - there still seems to be a problem. Will not 'reply' when image attached. - Just goes to the "Whoops" page from Proboard - where it says - again - that their technicians are aware and dealing with the problem. Don't know if you can do anything about this. Keep smiling though ! Maureen
ps Can anyone else give it a try please - just in case it's somehow down to my pc.

Maybe you just got unlucky - maybe the servers were too busy. I'll try another photo now..... Attachments:

I've just tried uploading attachments several times and 3 times out of four I was successful. This looks like a problem with the server to me although perhaps a slow internet connection from your side could affect it. This is a free service so we can expect to get problems like this. If the forum gets to be popular we could look into other options as a paid for service. In the meantime you should find this is fairly reliable. Make sure the attachment is less than 1Mb though.
